A respected consultant orthodontist, who inspires her profession. Offering fine treatment to her own patients matters equally to Dr Lee, alongside a belief in building confidence and a welcoming environment.
Patients of all ages are supported, with Dr Lee’s emphasis always on creating a natural smile. She is happy to work on straightforward, or complex cases, involving skeletal deformity, or multi-disciplinary needs.
After graduating from the University of Manchester in 2001, Dr Lee gained experience in practice and as a senior house officer, at Manchester Dental Hospital.
Her skills were soon recognised, leading to experience on challenging restorative cases. This included the use of intravenous, or inhalation sedation, correcting temporomandibular joint issues and supporting patients with special needs.
A senior appointment in North Manchester Hospital’s oral and maxillofacial unit soon followed. During this time, Dr Lee gained membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In 2005, she was appointed Registrar in Orthodontics at Newcastle University, then a little later admitted to the GDC’s specialist register.
A recognition of Dr Lee’s exceptional treatment skills and her academic ability, which includes a research based MSc in Orthodontics.
Research & Teaching
A wish to improve orthodontics and patient experience has been a constant throughout Dr Lee’s career. Invited to serve as chair of clinical networks, or specialist orthodontic committees and to instil a need for fine care.
Dr Lee has presented at the British Orthodontic Conference for a number of years, along with the Consultant Orthodontic Symposium. Her publications include papers in the British Dental Journal and British Orthodontic News.
Sarah also works part time at the Royal Free Hospital, treating complex cases and enjoying her role there training future orthodontic specialists.
Most importantly, the forward thinking techniques Dr Lee inspires are reflected in the treatment she offers her patients. Bringing excellent results and the shared confidence which makes orthodontic care a pleasure.
